Chelsea fans convinced Jules Kounde has dropped a Sevilla exit plea on social media

The Chelsea faithful have taken to social media in numbers this evening, to respond to the latest activity on the part of Sevilla star Jules Kounde.

The name of French international Kounde of course took centre stage in the football media throughout the summer.

This came with the 22-year-old having been persistently tipped for a move to European champions Chelsea.

Despite the embarrassment of riches at his disposal, Thomas Tuchel evidently identified Kounde, long highly regarded across the continent, as the missing piece from his backline in West London.

The stopper, in turn, was the subject of a number of proposals on the part of the board at Stamford Bridge.

In the end, however, Sevilla stood firm in their stance that Kounde would be going nowhere, if the youngster’s release clause was not met:

Chelsea, as a result, were forced to admit defeat in their Kounde pursuit.

‘The value of nothing…’

But, as outlined above, if the latest activity across social media on Friday is anything to go by, then it appears that supporters of the Blues have not yet given up hope of Kounde pulling on the club’s colours at some point over the seasons ahead.

The defender himself took to Twitter this evening, to post a tweet which has since been widely interpreted as a direct message to those in a position of power at Sevilla.

Quoting a line from the latest album released by rapper Drake, the former Bordeaux man posted:

‘You know the price of everything but the value of nothing’

And the Chelsea faithful have since wasted little time in flooding to the comments section of Kounde’s tweet, to both take aim at Sevilla director Monchi, and urge the defender to push for a departure upon the opening of the January window:
