Chelsea boost? Real Madrid drop interest in Antonio Rudiger
Real Madrid are no longer interested in signing Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger, according to reports.
Rudiger’s agent’s ‘agreement’ with Real Madrid
Rudiger has been by far and away Chelsea’s most impressive, consistent centre-back over the last 12 months.
However, his current Blues deal is set to expire at the end of the season, meaning he could sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club from the start of this month to depart on a free transfer next year.
And reports at the back end of 2021 implied that this could indeed happen, with Rudiger’s agent said to have had an informal agreement in place with Spanish powerhouse, Real Madrid:
Exclusive: Antonio Rudiger is moving closer to leaving Chelsea as a free agent next summer.
His brother, who is also his agent, has an informal agreement in place with Real Madrid.

Real Madrid out of race for Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger
Now though, fresh reports coming out of Spain suggest that Real Madrid are no longer interested in signing the Chelsea man.
As reported by Marca:
Except for a very unexpected turn of events, Antonio Rudiger (28 years old, March 29) will not be a Real Madrid player from next June.
It is added that talks between Madrid and Rudiger’s agent have not progressed, citing Rudiger’s reported demands of £200,000-a-week as a potential reason why.
Los Blancos are also said to be very happy with their current main centre-back pairing of Eder Militao and David Alaba.
Could this lead to Rudiger stating put in west London, or will the German lower his demands to land a move to the Spanish capital?
