CES 2023: Samsung plans to create a connected world with its SmartThings station, SmartThings Pet Care, and more.

Samsung Electronics on Thursday announced plans to create a connected world with devices and innovations at the CES 2023 conference in Las Vegas. The South Korean electronic brand, as well as its main partners, shared their expectations for refining connectivity and contributing to sustainability. The company also introduced SmartThings Station, a smart home control device that allows users to remotely link and manage home devices. It also unveiled SmartThings Pet Care, which can monitor and share pet alerts. During the keynote, Samsung also talked about its new partnerships and its plans to reduce the carbon footprint at home.

At this year’s CES, Samsung unveiled its vision for a connected world through cutting-edge technologies with smarter, more intuitive experiences. The company said it is focused on seamlessly connecting devices and designing products to make everyday use of technology more sustainable. As part of this, it unveiled SmartThings Station and SmartThings Pet Care to ensure a smarter home experience for users.

SmartThings Station is a smart home control device that supports Matter. It can be used to connect multiple devices at home, including TVs and speakers. It also allows gadgets to be charged. It functions as a charger supporting up to 15W wireless charging for smartphones, headphones and other compatible devices. Instead of manually controlling individual devices, SmartThings Station can be used to automate preset routines created through the SmartThings mobile app. It allows you to configure up to three different routines by pressing the smart button. Routines can also be activated remotely through the SmartThings app. It is integrated with Samsung’s SmartThings Find, which helps users find their misplaced devices. Samsung says that pressing the smart button twice will ring the nearby phone.

SmartThings Pet Care, the brand’s new pet service, can alert people and pets to suspicious situations. Additionally, with the SmartThings Home Monitor, users can monitor their home directly from their phone.

Additionally, the company announced its collaboration with Philips Hue to sync content from Samsung TVs with Philips Hue lighting through the Philips Hue Sync TV app. He also mentioned Knox Matrix, to sync credentials between devices and act as a private blockchain system for smart devices.

It also unveiled Harman Ready Care in association with Harman which uses a machine learning algorithm to collect and process data from the car’s sensors to measure driver drowsiness and distraction.

Additionally, Samsung has stated its goal of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050. The DX division will transition to 100% renewable energy by 2027 and achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2030, a- he declared.

Samsung has already exhibited new products at CES. Earlier, it added new models to its monitor lineup alongside new Neo QLED, MicroLED and OLED TV models. It will also display the Flex Hybrid folding display at the annual event.
