Carrier-locked Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 gets Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update in US

Android 13-based One UI 5.0 stable update released for international Galaxy Z Fold2 two months ago and US unlocked units last month are now rolling out for US carrier-locked Galaxy Z Fold2 -United.

The update is on the way for Galaxy Z Fold2 units locked to T-Mobile and Sprint’s networks in the US, and the rollout may soon expand to devices from other carriers.

If you have a network-locked Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 from T-Mobile or Sprint, you will receive One UI 5.0 with firmware version F916USQU2IVK5. It comes with the usual One UI 5.0 goodies and the November 2022 Android security patch.

If you haven’t received the update yet, you can check it manually by going to your Galaxy Z Fold2. Settings > Software update menu.
