Burna Boy Wins “Best Solo Act In The World” At NME Awards (+Video)

Grammy-award winning Nigerian musician, Burna Boy has won his first ever NME awards as he emerges as the “Best Solo Act In The World”.

Speaking after his big win, Burna Boy apologized to his fans for not showing up at the event to celebrate his win with them but he appreciated how they lightened up the event on his behalf.

The NME Awards is an annual music awards show in the United Kingdom, founded by the music magazine NME. The first awards show was held in 1953 as the NME Poll Winners Concerts, shortly after the founding of the magazine.

And, this happens to be the first time Burna Boy is winning from the award platform as he expressed his undying gratitude to the organizers.

In other news, Ghanaian musician, Ishmael Mohammed Sherif, well known as Black Sherif has officially made a statement about the ongoing brouhaha about his management.

It would be vividly recalled that the singer was rumored to have ditched his manager to sign a secret recording deal with Empire Entertainment without the consent of his management.

The “Second Sermon” crooner was rumored to have abandoned a mansion given to him by his manager, 100 pieces of sneakers as well as a car he was given to facilitate his moves in his career.

According to the Ghanaian radio presenter, DJ Slim who gave highlights on the singer’s move stated that the singer ditched his manager to sign the record deal with Empire Entertainment without any logical reason.
