Nigerians are keen on making sensational fast-rising Ghanaian musician Black Sherif their own after his meteoric rise hinged on his new banger ‘Kwaku The Traveller’, albeit their attempts are refracted on the plain mirror of humour to some extent.
In consonance with this, one ignorant Nigerian man who could be probably joking claimed in a new post on social media that Black Sherif actually comes from Africa’s most country, while giving his real name as Oluwafemi Adewale Sherif.
His post has gone viral as other netizens from the Nigerian landscape of social media are asking him whether his claim is true. See the screenshot below;
Meanwhile, Black Sherif has recently spoken to TV3 in a new interview where he revealed how he and Nigerian superstar Burna Boy crossed paths as far as the remix of his song, Second Sermon Rmx is concerned.
In this particular interview, Sherif whose recent track, ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ is breaking frontiers and ‘disturbing’ Ghana and beyond said his professional meeting with the African Giant was facilitated by Nigerian dancer, Poco Lee who played his song for Burna Boy.
He disclosed that a member of Burna Boy’s team contacted him on WhatsApp and said that the Burna Boy was highly impressed with the composition.
The rapper said that when he eventually got a chance to speak with Burna Boy via video call, they talked for about 20 minutes and that was how their association started.
