Best Steam Spring Sale 2023 offers: God of War, FIFA 23, Cyberpunk 2077 and more

The Steam Spring Sale 2023 is now live, bringing new and recurring discounts on PC games. This year’s edition of the new annual Steam Spring Sale is scheduled to run until March 23 at 11:30 PM IST. The promotion offers discounts of up to 85% on select titles. The highly revered Red Dead Redemption 2 got a 67% discount, slashing the price to Rs. 1,056. Meanwhile, Cyberpunk 2077, which has seen a resurgence in gaming base lately, retains its base discount by 50% and costs Rs. 1,499. PlayStation to PC ports such as God of War (2018) and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection are also seeing reduced prices – Rs. 1,979 and rupees. 2,309, respectively.

Curiously, the new PC port of Returnal, which reportedly failed to sell enough copies, is not offered for sale. Unlike most other AAA releases, The Last of Us Part I also did not receive a 10% introductory/pre-purchase offer. The critically acclaimed NieR: Automata, which sees alien-created machines and man-made androids engage in proxy warfare, has finally been on sale since March 2022 (exactly one year). It is available at 50% off for Rs. 665.

If old-school horror is your thing, there are two great remake options on sale this time around. First, step into the shoes of rookie cop Leon S. Kennedy, as he makes his way to the infected town of Raccoon City, ravaged by flesh-eating zombies in Resident Evil 2. Or experience similar fears in the space, as you trudge through the halls of the USG Ishimura remake in Dead Space. They are listed at Rs. 499 and Rupees. 2,549, respectively.

Publisher Bandai Namco continues to offer no discounts on the Dark Souls Trilogy. Even the Elden Ring Game Awards 2022 Game of the Year winner wasn’t discounted this time around, which is odd considering the game has already been discounted once. The feudal Japanese game Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, however, is on sale for 50% off – Rs. 1,999. the Dark Knight mythos before opting for a live implementation in the upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League game. All three games – Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham: City and Arkham: Knight (including the Season Pass) are available at just Rs. 202.

On the shooter side, the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has received a 35% discount, now costing Rs. 3,249 for the base edition. Earlier this month, publisher Activision brought three recent Call of Duty games, previously exclusive to Battle.net on PC, to Steam. These are Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Vanguard. All three received a 50% discount, bringing the price down to Rs. 1,999 each.
