Best Apple Watch Ultra deals

Apple has added a premium smartwatch to its lineup for 2022. The Watch Ultra has a larger screen than regular Apple Watch models (at 49mm) and – at launch – had the brightest (at 2000 nits) .
The reason for these specs is that they’re aimed at people who need a smartwatch for extreme sports, where a bigger, brighter screen is easier to see when you’re underwater or in direct sunlight. .
As well as being rugged, it has all the features of the Watch Series 8 (which launched alongside the Ultra), including a body temperature sensor and motion sensors to detect car crashes.
There is a choice of bracelets but only one color: titanium.
This simplifies things and means it’s much more obvious when discounts are available.
At the time of writing, Apple includes three months of access to its Fitness+ service with all Watch purchases, but some retailers add on to that and may also add a few months to Apple Music and Apple News+, which might tempt you to buy from them instead of going directly to Apple.
The Watch Ultra has a built-in cellular, which means you can also get one from a mobile operator on a monthly contract. This might be the best option if you can’t afford to shell out the full price all at once. That said, Apple does offer financing in the US, so you can choose to pay a small amount each month – effectively an interest-free loan.
If you’re buying an Apple Watch Ultra on contract, remember that you’ll need an iPhone 8 or later, and you’ll need a SIM card from the same mobile carrier. Also, a cheaper monthly price usually means a longer contract, so check that out if you think you’ve found a good deal.
