Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) May 2022 Update Brings Official Livik Map and Core Circle Mode

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) May 2022 Update is now rolling out. The update brings many new features including an official Livik map release, Core Circle mode as well as a classic mode. BGMI developer Krafton also announced that BGMI is celebrating its first anniversary. On this occasion, the update also brings a first anniversary lobby, some in-game items, and a sale of skins for players. Meanwhile, Krafton has also issued an update warning for smartphones running the Android 12 operating system.

According to the BGMI website, iOS devices will get the update from 4 p.m. and Android phones will get the update from 12:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on May 13. Since the update is distributed gradually, there may be a time difference by devices when getting the update. Wi-Fi connection is recommended to update the game.

Features of BGMI May 2022 Update 2.0

The first thing that Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) May 2022 Update 2.0 brings is the official Livik map. On the map, players can fight in new themed areas, get an off-road UTV (High-Speed ​​​​4-Wheel Seater) and will allow players to upgrade their standard weapons such as AKM, M416, MK12 and M24 to XT weapons.

They are required to engage in better tactics and strategies in new forward supply areas. They will be able to load supplies from a huge cache of crates. Additionally, the official BGMI map will also contain special supplies, a brand new zip line for fast travel from place to place, and a newly added soccer field. Players can score goals to earn more items.

The second important feature of the BGMI May update is the Core Circle mode. According to the announcement, the mode is inspired by the popular Japanese animation – Evangelion, and it brings new skins, rewards and bonuses related to progress. It can be experienced in Erangel and Livik maps. Additionally, the battles between EVA-01 (Evangelion Unit-01) and the 6th Angel of Evangelion can be watched in Erangel. BGMI says players can access the theme through in-game discovery events and “receive additional progress bonuses for participating after May 14.”

The third major update is in classic mode. There is an Emergency Pickup feature that will allow Erangel and Miramar players to call in for an Emergency Pickup. They can then be brought back to the middle of the playing area when they find themselves outside of it. One of the coolest features is probably the Revival Tower that players can use to bring back their fallen teammates.

Other features include a variety of control enhancements. There’s improved haptic feedback, support for sponsor match functionality, and the addition of the like button to spectator mode.

BGMI has released an update warning for smartphones running the Android 12 operating system. If players receive an “Unknown error” message when accessing the 2.0.0 update version for the first time, they have to restart the device and try again. In case of “Error Code: 3”, press “Retry” and players must download the additional resources file to access the game normally. After entering the lobby, additional resources such as maps must be downloaded.
