Battlegrounds Mobile India bans over 40,000 cheaters and releases list of account names

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) developer Krafton has announced that it has permanently banned over 40,000 accounts in the week of April 11-17. The South Korean developer has a habit of releasing weekly updates regarding penalties for cheaters. It issues permanent bans every week to players who use illegal programs to gain an unfair advantage in the game. The developer also recently released a new patch for the Battle Royale game, which aimed to address several issues affecting the multiplayer experience.

According to the post shared by Krafton on the official BGMI website, the developer permanently banned 41,898 accounts for cheating between April 11 and April 17. You can view the list of profile names for banned accounts here. Previously, the developer reported banning 49,327 BGMI accounts in the week of April 4-10.

Additionally, Krafton released a new update for BGMI which fixed several bugs and issues in the game. According to the patch notes released by the developer, the issue which allowed players to increase their speed on Nimbus Island has been corrected. It also fixed the issue where players were unable to use other players’ sensitivity codes. A sensitivity code includes custom sensitivity settings for the camera, aim-downsight (ADS), and gyro that can be easily shared with other players. Players using the Merry Tidings – UZI weapon skin will no longer experience the issue where they were unable to see through the weapon’s scope in-game.

Additionally, fixes have been made to the Lamborghini body that includes the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Verde Alceo and the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Verde. The developers have capped the top speeds of these supercars to match the top speed of all Lamborghini skins in the game.
