Barcelona’s surprising cut-price Sergino Dest demands revealed

The surprisingly low fee which could convince Spanish giants FC Barcelona to part with defender Sergino Dest this January has been revealed.

Barca hard at work

American international Dest is of course just one of a whole host of players to have been tipped for a Camp Nou departure following the turn of the year.

This comes as the latest instillation on the Blaugrana bench, Xavi Hernandez, sets about building the kind of squad capable of reestablishing his beloved club back at the top of the European football pyramid.

The likes of Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Samuel Umtiti and even star midfielder Frenkie de Jong have all been named as potential avenues towards raising much-needed funds for fresh additions to Barca’s personnel ranks.

One such player expected to see his Camp Nou arrival made official any day now, meanwhile, is Manchester City attacker Ferran Torres.

Dest on the move?

Who, though, could realistically depart to make room for the incoming Torres?

It has been rumoured in the Spanish press that as many as five players could be on the chopping block in the Catalan capital, as Xavi goes about trimming what he evidently views as a bloated panel of stars at his disposal.

And, as alluded to above, on Thursday, an insight into the minimal demands likely to coax Barca into the sale of one such player has been provided.

The info comes courtesy of Javi Miguel of Diario AS, who reports that those in a position of power at the Camp Nou would ‘wrap him with a bow’, in the case of an offer of 15 million euro or more for Sergino Dest.

Right-back Dest is understood to have failed in his attempts to win favour with boss Xavi, a shortcoming which, in the very near future, could see his Blaugrana stint brought to an underwhelming end:
