Barcelona boost as insight provided into Ronald Araujo’s upcoming absence
Spanish giants FC Barcelona have been afforded some altogether timely positive news on the personnel front on Thursday evening.
Jutgla completes the turnaround
Xavi Hernandez’s men were back in action a little over 24 hours ago.
After managing to navigate a Covid-19 crisis to eventually emerge on the right side of a 1-0 scoreline at Mallorca over the weekend, the Blaugrana this time made the trip to Andalusia, for a Copa del Rey showdown with minnows Linares Deportivo.
And, when all was said and done on Wednesday, Barca, once more, managed to get the job done.
A tense 90 minutes, during which Linares actually took the lead in proceedings, ultimately saw the visitors do enough to turn things around, en route to a 2-1 triumph.
Ousmane Dembele levelled things up shortly after the hour mark, before the increasingly prominent Ferran Jutgla got in on the act five minutes later, to keep Barcelona’s Copa hopes alive.

Aruajo latest
Amid an otherwise positive night’s work for Barca on Wednesday, however, the Catalan heavyweights were also dealt something of a blow.
This came on the personnel front when, ahead of the 2nd-half of action getting underway, key defender Ronald Araujo failed to emerge from the tunnel, owing to what was later revealed to be a wrist problem.

Speculation, in turn, quickly spread, amid suggestions that Araujo could be sidelined for as long as a month, after fracturing his wrist.
Such concerns, however, have since been put to bed.
As per a report from the reliable Jordi Grau of Cat Radio, ‘if all goes well’ in the operating room on Friday morning, Araujo will likely face a spell of just ten days on the sidelines.
