Avatar: The Waterway Release date on streaming, VOD and DVD

James Cameron once again shattered box office records with Avatar: The Way of Water, the sequel to Avatar released in 2009. Since its release in December 2022, it has surpassed Titanic, Star Wars: The Rise of the Force and Avengers: Infinity War to become the third highest-grossing film of all time.

Avatar: The Way of Water once again follows Jake Sully, who has now settled in with his new family in Pandora. However, he must unite with others to defend the land when a familiar threat emerges.

US viewers can now buy Avatar 2 digitally.

UK viewers have to wait a bit longer, with the film arriving in digital storefronts on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.

When is Avatar: The Waterway available on DVD/Blu-ray?

No DVD or Blu-ray release date has been confirmed for Avatar: The Way of Water, but we expect it won’t be too long after the digital release.

When is Avatar: Path of the Water available on Disney+?

Disney+ has yet to confirm when Avatar 2 will be available to stream.

It’s unclear how long the wait will be, especially given the film’s success in theaters. For reference, one of the highest-grossing movies of the last year, Top Gun: Maverick, hit VOD in August but took four months longer to hit Paramount+.
