Villa “in negotitations” for Cheick Doucoure

Goal first reported the interested in the 21 year old Malian international, and now a report from the Birmingham Mail suggests that the two clubs are “in negotiations” over a deal for the defensive midfielder.

Correa rumours “wide of the mark”

Meanwhile, the same outlet suggests that reported interest in Lazio winger Joaquin Correa is “wide of the mark”. Dean Smith’s side had previously been linked with a move for the Argentine international, who has played on the left-wing as well as through the middle during his time in Italy.

However, while Villa have distanced themselves from a move, Inter Milan are now thought to be interested in a deal for the forward, thought to be around the 30 million euros.

Villa prepared to offload attacking duo

As per football insider, Aston Villa are open to offers for two of their attacking players, after the influx of attacking talent that has arrived at Villa Park this summer.

The two players in question are Brazil’s Wesley and Anwar El Ghazi, both of whom are unlikely to start with the respective arrivals of Danny Ings and Emi Buendia. With three weeks of the transfer window left before the deadline, could Villa be able to shift their fringe players?
