Benitez quizzed on Sean Longstaff rumours
Rafa Benitez held a press conference on Friday afternoon.
In said presser, the Spaniard was quizzed heavily on transfers during the January window.

Benitez was then asked specifically about interest in Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff. The Everton boss, though, gave little away:
“I’m quite focused on the games, other people are focused on the names. This window is so complicated, you never know.”
Everton eyeing Manchester United midfielder
And now, following links to Sean Longstaff, Everton have been linked with another central midfielder.
The player in question? Manchester United midfielder, James Garner.
Garner, a 20-year-old product of United’s youth system, is currently on loan at Championship outfit Nottingham Forest for the current campaign.
Garner spent the second half of 2020/21 on loan there and has once again been impressing this seaosn.
Now, it is being reported that Everton are eyeing a move for the Manchester United man.

Given he is currently on loan, one would assume Everton’s move would have to be a permanent one.
