Reports stemming from France have named several Premier League sides as having an interest in Bayern Munich’s Corentin Tolisso
Tolisso’s Bayern Munich stint
After an impressive stint in Ligue 1 with Lyon, Tolisso made the move to German powerhouse Bayern Munich in the summer of 2017.
The Frenchman was just 22 at the time, but his clear potential more than justified the reported figure of around €41m that Bayern are understood to have splashed out.
Since making the switch to Munich, though, the Lyon youth product has largely failed to replicate the kind of form that made him such a desirable signing in the first place.
The main reason for this has been Tolisso’s horrible injuries woes since landing at the Allianz Arena.
In 2020/21 alone, Tolisso would miss 13 of Bayern Munich’s league games due to injury.
Arsenal, West Ham, Man United appreciate Tolisso
Now, after a largely disappointing spell in Germany, it appears Bayern Munich are ready to sanction the departure of Tolisso, which makes sense given he now has less than 12 months remaining on his current deal.
According to Sport Witness, citing French outlet L’Equipe, the midfielder found out on Tuesday that he is not in Julian Nagelsmann’s plans for the season, with Bayern deciding to try and sell Tolisso as quickly as possible.
A number of sides are said to ‘appreciate the profile’ of Tolisso. Amongst these are West Ham, Arsenal, Manchester United and Serie A powerhouse, Juventus.
In terms of a potential fee for Tolisso, it is claimed that Bayern Munich would sanction his sale if an offer of around €10m came in.
Even at such a cut-price fee though, any side who buys him takes something of a risk given his poor injury record.
