Arsenal submit fresh Dusan Vlahovic bid with player going the other way
Arsenal need a striker
It is clear to everyone that Arsenal are in desperate need of a striker, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang frozen out and both Alex Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah out of contract in the summer.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not take part in Gabon’s Africa Cup of Nations match against Ghana this evening after medical examinations carried out by the CAF showed suspected heart issues.

And the man they seem to be set on is Fiorentina man Dusan Vlahovic, who has scored 16 goals in 20 Serie A games this season.
Arsenal submit new bid
And now, good news for Arsenal fans keen on adding Vlahovic to their exciting core has come forth this weekend.
As per the generally reliable Italian outlet Corriere della Sport, Arsenal have now made a new bid for the Serbian star.
And it is significant too. The Italian source reports that the Gunners have offered to stump up 60 million euros, as well as the permanent transfer of Lucas Torreira (currently on loan with the Serie A side) in order to try and force a deal for the marksman.
Meanwhile, Fiorentina president Comisso is keen to sell this January, while his price and stock remain high, and the goals continue to flow.

Worryingly for both Arsenal and Fiorentina, however: “The Viola also suspect that the centre forward could hold out until 2023 and then go for free [when his contract expires].”
Should they wait either until this summer or next, Arsenal may find that they are no longer the biggest suitor in for his services, and may have an even harder time convincing the Serb that north London is the right place for him to continue his career.
It seems to be a waiting game.
