Arsenal fans make plea as Donny van de Beek’s January plans confirmed
Supporters of Premier League outfit Arsenal have taken to social media this evening, to react to news of Donny van de Beek’s rumoured decision to seek out a Manchester United exit.
The name of Dutch international van de Beek has of course taken centre stage at Old Trafford once again over the last couple of weeks.
Unfortunately for the 24-year-old, however, this has been for all the wrong reasons.
Van de Beek has endured another frustrating couple of months to open the campaign, restricted to just a solitary start across all competitions.
In turn, after being overlooked once again as Manchester United went in search of an all-important winner against Villarreal last week, it came as little surprise when, finally, the former Ajax man allowed his emotions to get the better of him.
VDB was spotted first spotted throwing his bib on the ground, before launching chewing gum at the home dug-out at Old Trafford, as Jesse Lingard and Fred prepared to enter the fray:
“Donny van de Beek will look for assurances of where he stands at Manchester United after his frustration at not playing boiled over during the Champions League victory against Villarreal,” reports @mcgrathmike. https://t.co/90wXW7wVec

Arsenal fans react
In turn, with van de Beek having subsequently failed to get off the bench once more in United’s disappointing stalemate with Everton at the weekend, speculation surrounding his future has inevitably begun to mount once more.
And, this evening, an altogether telling update on the situation was forthcoming.
The info came courtesy of transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who confirmed that, as things stand, VDB’s plan is to secure a departure from Old Trafford during the January window:
“THE SITUATION IS TERRIBLE!” 👎@FabrizioRomano says there are clubs in Italy interested in Donny, a January move is likely, and that he should get more of a chance to prove himself at United.

One somewhat surprising potential destination for the Dutchman, pushed in the media over recent weeks, has of course been Arsenal.
And, if the immediate reaction to Monday’s news regarding VDB is anything to go by, then it appears that supporters of Mikel Arteta’s outfit would certainly not be against their side launching a winter swoop:
A loan deal with an option to buy. Without any second thought.
