Arsenal faithful express Ben White concerns despite Burnley win

Arsenal’s supporters have taken to social media in numbers this afternoon, to question the form of summer arrival Ben White.

Mikel Arteta’s men were of course back in action a short time ago.

The Gunners made the daunting trip to Turf Moor – a ground which has so often caused them problems over recent years – to take on Sean Dyche’s Burnley.

And, when all was said and done, Arsenal, to their credit, emerged with a credible 3-point haul.

A solitary goal proved all that was required to clinch the visitors’ 2nd Premier League win of the season, guiding them to 12th in the English top-flight table in the process.

The strike in question came on the half-hour mark, when summer signing Martin Odegaard bent a sumptuous free-kick beyond the despairing dive of Nick Pope:

White concerns

As outlined above, however, on a day which saw one of the recent additions to Mikel Arteta’s squad come up trumps, another piqued the attentions of the Arsenal faithful for all the wrong reasons.

The player in question? Ben White.

Stopper White, a £50 million summer arrival from Brighton – was in from the off once again on Saturday, his 2nd successive start at the heart of the Gunners’ backline.

The Englishman, though, did not exactly inspire confidence in the ranks of the visitors at Turf Moor, looking lethargic, shaky and worryingly lacking in confidence.

In turn, those of an Arsenal persuasion to have taken in their side’s latest outing this afternoon have since flooded to Twitter, to make their concerns with White’s form clear:
