The respective sets of supporters in attendance at the clash between Arsenal and Chelsea momentarily put their differences aside this evening, to take aim at Tottenham.
Lukaku amongst the goals
London’s two biggest clubs are of course currently locked in Premier League action.
The meeting in question sees Arsenal playing host Chelsea to the Emirates, aiming to bounce back from a frankly embarrassing opening day defeat at newly promoted Brentford.
Thomas Tuchel’s Blues, on the other hand, are eyeing a 2nd successive victory, after making short work of Crystal Palace last time out.
And, as things stand in the capital, this is precisely what the visitors are headed towards.
A dominant first-half display sees Chelsea in possession of a two-goal advantage.
The evening’s scoring was opened inside the opening quarter of an hour, when Reece James’ delivery across the face of goal was slotted home with ease by Romelu Lukaku, lining out for his 2nd debut in the colours of the Pensioners:

Then, a short time later, James turned goalscorer, latching onto Mason Mount’s pinpoint pass to pick out the far corner with aplomb:

‘Stand up…’
As outlined above, though, before Chelsea managed to open the evening’s scoring, there came a moment of short-lived unison on the part of the rival fanbases in attendance at the Emirates.
This came in the form of a chant, as the Arsenal and Chelsea supporters alike rose to their feet to belt out a rendition of:
‘Stand up if you hate Tottenham’
Arsenal & Chelsea singing ‘stand up if you hate Tottenham.’ Wow.
