Apple Watch gets ChatGPT support via dedicated WatchGPT app: all the details

Apple Watch users can now access ChatGPT, OpenAI’s popular AI-backed chatbot through a dedicated app. A new app for Apple’s popular smartwatches will allow users to interact with the chatbot directly from their watch screen. Dubbed WatchGPT, the app is available on the App Store and is priced at $3.99 (around Rs. 328). It will also allow users to share WatchGPT responses via text, email and social media directly from their Apple Watch, according to the app’s description on the App Store.
Hidde van der Ploeg, developer of WatchGPT, has share details of the app’s availability on Twitter. The new app will allow users to interact with ChatGPT as well as share its responses via email, SMS and social media apps right from their watch screen. The app can be purchased through the App Store and is available in India. However, it is only supported on devices running iOS 13.0 or later and the download is 2.6MB in size.
According to a report by 9to5Mac, Apple Watch users can not only get their questions answered, but also get longer messages generated without typing. The app is currently available through the Apple App Store in English, Dutch, French and Spanish.
Additionally, the developer says it will bring new updates with features such as the ability to use its own API key, access history, and the ability to track voice input by default, as well as to allow the reading of the responses by the application itself.
Last month, Apple reportedly took a major step in developing blood sugar monitoring technology for future Apple Watch models. It will work based on optical absorption spectroscopy coupled with a dedicated chip technology called silicon photonics which will be used to project light at predefined wavelengths. The new technology is said to work without the need to use a needle to draw a blood sample to detect a user’s blood sugar levels.
