Apple unveils details of its first store in India

Apple is finally opening its first retail store in India later this month. Today, the company lifted the curtain a bit, showing the storefront of the store, which will be located in Mumbai’s premium Jio World Drive mall. The name of the store will be Apple BKC, after the Bandra Kurla Complex business and residential area.

The final design has yet to be revealed – the image just shows where the store will be located in the mall. Reports say it will be 22,000 square feet and have “flagship architecture” with large windows, similar to Apple stores in Los Angeles, New York, Beijing, Milan and Singapore.

The arrival of the first store in India was marked by Apple with the release of new iPhone, iPad and Mac wallpapers on the company’s website. A special logo was also designed and the company promoted an Apple Music playlist called “Sound of Mumbai”.
