Apple TV+ has announced its slate of original movies and series for the first half of 2023, with notable titles on the list including Ted Lasso, which returns for a third season in spring 2023. Apple’s streaming service has also released a single teaser image for the upcoming season, featuring the titular character Ted (Jason Sudeikis) taking on his apprentice-turned-adversary Nate (Nick Mohammed), which will likely be the key theme for the upcoming season. The new season doesn’t have a firm release date at the moment, but could probably release in March or April.

Ted Lasso’s third season is set to be the show’s final season, according to an EW report that quotes show writer Brett Goldstein saying “We’re writing it like this, it was planned like three.” The end of the second season saw Nate leave his position at fictional football club AFC Richmond under Ted, to take up the post of head coach of rival club West Ham United. The image shows Ted and Nate face to face, presumably before a game between the two clubs.

Additionally, Jennifer Garner will star in The Last Thing He Told Me (coming April), a mystery thriller based on the 2021 book of the same name by Laura Dave. The series revolves around Hannah (Jennifer Garner), a woman who must strike up a relationship with her 16-year-old stepdaughter Bailey (Angourie Rice) in order to uncover the truth behind her husband’s mysterious disappearance.

The series slate also includes Hello Tomorrow! (coming Feb. 17) starring Billy Crudup as the moon timeshare seller, Shrinking (Jan. 27) starring Jason Segel and Harrison Ford, and Shape Island (coming Jan. 20), a stop-motion animated show for young viewers and families with narration by Yvette Nicole Brown.
