
Apple opens its first official stores in India

After lengthy negotiations with the government, Apple was given the green light to open its first official stores in the country. India requires that at least 30% of business production be on Indian soil in order to qualify for store location. And after opening the Apple BKC store in Mumbai two days ago, Apple has opened its store in New Delhi.

Admittedly, the New Delhi Apple Saket store is not as big as the BKC store in Mumbai as it is more of a standard mall store, but it has attracted a lot of fans. The video below shows a massive crowd on more than one floor.

Still, the store’s interior is in keeping with Apple’s design language, with oak tables displaying Apple products and accessories as well as a locally made feature wall.
