Apple accuses a strange display bug, to be fixed with a software update

A growing number of iPhone 14 Pro users are reporting a weird display issue while booting up or unlocking their devices. Green and yellow horizontal lines appear on the screen which seem to disappear later during the boot process, so it doesn’t completely break the user experience, if at all.
Fortunately, Apple has acknowledged the issue and will soon release a software update to address the odd horizontal lines. It’s realistic to expect the issue to be resolved with a small upcoming patch or with iOS 16.3, which is currently being tested by Apple and members of the public beta program.
Notably, Apple’s response is unofficial and was spotted in internal memos by people familiar with the matter. The issue was first reported last month, so Apple is responding fairly quickly. Let’s just hope that the next version of the software fixes this.
