Antonio Conte outlines what he is looking to teach Tottenham players
Burnley vs Tottenham
Tottenham are back in Premier League action on Sunday afternoon.
Spurs face a trip to Burnley at 2 pm UK time as they look to bounce back from their rather embarrassing 2-1 defeat at the hands of Slovenian outfit Mura.
Tottenham have had a pretty underwhelming start to life under Antonio Conte. They secured a Europa Conference League win over Vitesse and scrapped a 2-1 win against a poor Leeds side this past weekend.
However, they also failed to register a single shot on target vs Everton and, obviously, lost to Mura.
Burnley, though, should prove to be a fairly easy test for the Lilywhites.
The Clarets have won just one league game all season and have shipped 20 goals in 12 outings.
What Conte is looking to teach Tottenham players
Ahead of the Burnley game, Antonio Conte has outlined what he is looking to teach his players in north London.
The Italians recognised that his side are young, but it is still important for them to take responsibility.
Conte adds that he is here to teach the aspect of responsibility to his players and, he is sure that as time goes on, Spurs will improve in many aspects:
“It is important to have many leaders. Harry [Kane] for sure is one. Then we have our captain [Hugo Lloris],” he said.
“This team is very young. I know we have to build many leaders and to work in this aspect.
“The players are young but at the same time it is important to take responsibility, but I am also here to teach this aspect to my players and as more time passes we will improve in many aspects.”
