Antonio Conte confirms eight Tottenham stars currently have Covid-19
Tottenham vs Rennes
Tottenham are set to play out their final Europa Conference League group tie of the season on Thursday.
Spurs will face off with French outfit Rennes in north London at 8 pm UK time.
Tottenham head into the game knowing that they need to win to ensure they make it into the knockout rounds of the competition as Vitesse, currently 3rd in their group, are only behind them due to goal difference and have an easy tie against basement-dwelling Mura on the same day.
Rennes, though, are unlikely to be a pushover, and would beat Nuno Espirito Santo’s side in the reverse fixture earlier this season.

Antonio Conte on Tottenham’s Covid-19 problem
Ahead of the game, Antonio Conte would hold his pre-Rennes press conference on Wednesday afternoon.
The Italian discussed a number of topics in his press conference, including the recent Covid-19 outbreak in Tottenham’s squad.
And unfortunately for Spurs, Conte has confirmed that eight players currently have covid, as do five members of staff:
“Eight players and five members of staff but the problem is that every day we’re having people with Covid, people that yesterday weren’t positive and today are and we’re continuing to have contact with. It’s a serious problem.”
“Today another player and another member of staff positive. Tomorrow, who? Me? Another member of staff? I want to speak about football. This is not a good thing for you, the fans and staff.”
“Everyone is a bit scared, we all have families. I ask why? Why? Yesterday we trained and two positives, today we trained and after another two positives. Who next? It’s not right, we’re going home to our families.”
