Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Trailer Teases MODOK, Kang the Conqueror Promises Lost Time

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania just got a new trailer – in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Ahead of its February 17 release, Marvel Studios has now dropped the final trailer for the third Ant-Man movie, and it has to do with reclaiming lost time. Presumably, the period lost during the infamous Blip event, caused by Thanos’ Snap in Avengers: Infinity War. Ushering in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 5, which ushers in a new generation of heroes, we also see Cassandra “Cassie” Lang (Kathryn Newton) take down bad guys, highlighting her transformation into Stature, the new Ant-person. Oh, and there’s also a small match for MODOK. It happens.

The Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer opens with a voiceover from Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors) congratulating Ant-Man/Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), possibly for paving the way for the time travel. “You are an interesting man, Scott Lang. You’re an Avenger,” he says, which is the kind of compliment Lang was expecting — revealed in the first trailer — since he wasn’t as popular as the franchise’s other characters.

We then cut to see how the five years lost during The Blip had affected his life, particularly the relationship with his now-teenage daughter Cassie (Newton), who can be seen released from police custody. “You wasted a lot of time, like me,” Kang tells Lang in what seems like a good deal after our heroes enter the Quantum Realm by accident. “We can help each other with that.”

“I’m the man who can give you the one thing you want. Time,” Kang promises, in exchange for an undisclosed favor. Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), however, is suspicious of the Conqueror, insisting on the Conqueror’s immense power which is capable of breaking timelines. Lang, who has already wasted enough time with his daughter – including her prison sentence – is blindsided by the offer and agrees to help the ruler of the megalopolis. The Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer then sees our heroes embark on an adventure to bring back an undisclosed relic that Kang needs, and they somehow get slaughtered by the latter’s army. “It’s all my fault,” reproaches an upset Cassie, who inadvertently caused the ant family to be sucked into the Quantum Realm.

Things go awry for our heroes, as expected, with Kang betraying Ant-Man’s trust and the whole deal falls apart between the two. Amidst the montage-like montage, the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quatumania trailer also features a brief glimpse of MODOK armed with mechanical weapons, which sees Corey Stoll return to voice him, after playing the part. by Darren Cross / Yellowjacket in the 2015 The ant Man film.

“I don’t need to win, we just both need to lose,” the badly injured Ant-Man told Kang, who seemed to think he had the upper hand in battle. The events of this movie will set up Avengers: The Kang Dynasty – coming in May 2025. According to US-based movie ticketing company Fandango, Ant-Man 3 clocks in at 2 hours and 5 minutes, making it makes the longest Ant-Man movie yet.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania hits theaters worldwide on February 17, 2023. In India, the third Ant-Man movie will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
