Announcing Xbox app for 2022 Samsung smart TVs, launching June 30

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will soon be able to play games through a new Xbox app for 2022 Samsung smart TVs through Xbox Cloud Gaming, Microsoft announced Thursday. The Xbox app for smart TVs will launch on June 30 on Samsung’s 2022 lineup of smart TVs and monitors. The new Xbox app and Samsung’s smart TVs will be compatible with popular Bluetooth controllers, as well as Bluetooth headsets for game audio. And it’ll be on par with Xbox elsewhere, giving you access to new games on day one from Xbox Game Studios, as well as franchises from Bethesda Softworks, among others.

This essentially means you won’t need dedicated hardware – which can cost a fortune – to play the over 100 games available in the subscription, as well as Xbox Game Studios titles on the day they are released.
