An in house Mohammed Salah replacement? Liverpool outline their most talented academy prospect
Mohamed Salah’s star continues to shine
Mohamed Salah has continued to etch his name into the Premier League history books since his move from Roma to Liverpool.
Bringing up his century of Liverpool goals in just 162 games, he has become an integral part of Jurgen Klopp’s success in the past four years.
Only four players have reached 100 Premier League goals in fewer games than Mohamed Salah.

However, now 29 years old, he will have to step aside at some point in the next five years, and Liverpool will be in desperate need to replace the prolific winger to ensure continued success.
But could they already have the answer?
Liverpool assistant boss Pep Lijnders reveals most impressive youth prospect
Step forward, Kaide Gordon.
Still only 16 years old, Gordon still has plenty of time to grow into the shoes of the Egyptian, but Jurgen Klopp’s assistant Pep Lijnders spoke today about just how impressed he was with the talent, saying:
“They start with the under-23s training and I went to the u-23s training ground to watch and I see one player and he has fire in each moment he touched the ball.
“He passes players like they are not standing there so I call Jurgen like, “Wow, we have a new player here.”

He continued by revealing his key skills:
“He has a goal in him and he has this natural ability to be in the box between the goalposts to score, even when the cross comes from the other side, and not many talents have that.
“They have maybe dribbling skills but they don’t have this desire to shoot and come in the box to score.”

“He is a typical Liverpool Football Club winger in my opinion. He has a natural ability to be in the box and score – not many talents have that.” 🔴 pic.twitter.com/e0nIireNmN
