Allardyce: England Must Not Hire Foreign Coach

Former England manager Sam Allardyce is not open to the idea of a foreigner handling the Three Lions.
There are doubts over the future of Gareth Southgate following England’s quarter-final exit from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The Three Lions may not be able to convince Gareth Southgate to sign a new contract to take them to the next Euros or World Cup.
“No, it can’t happen, not again,” Allardyce told Sky Sports.
“I just think it is unacceptable. There’s enough qualifying managers and enough British coaches in this country to pick the right man.”
Allardyce added: “How successful were they [previously] ?
I know where [the debate] has come from because the women’s team won it with a Dutch manager.
“It’s detrimental to the whole of what we have in this country if you don’t go and pick a British manager.”
