All iPhone 15 models will get Apple’s Dynamic Island, iPhone 15 Pro May Sport Titanium Frame: Gurman

Apple is expected to bring the Dynamic Island feature that debuted on its current generation iPhone 14 Pro to all four iPhone 15 models. This feature is designed to make the most of the space that was wasted around the notch in the front that houses the TrueDepth sensor. Dynamic Island can present notifications and can be used to manage music streaming, among other tasks, once apps add support for the feature. It was introduced with the iPhone 14 series, but was limited to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models.
Mark Gurman suggests in the latest edition of his Power On newsletter that all four models in the iPhone 15 series will sport Apple’s Dynamic Island. There will apparently be no change in the screen sizes of these handsets compared to the current generation models. The iPhone 15 series will also come with a USB Type-C port in accordance with common European charger legislation.
The Cupertino company is also said to have replaced the stainless steel frame with a titanium frame on the Pro models. These phones are expected to be powered by a faster chipset than the Apple A16 that powers the current-gen Pro models. A recent report suggests that the alleged Apple A17 chipset could use TSMC’s 3nm process for up to 35 times better power efficiency.
Gurman says Apple spent most of its resources preparing the launch of its mixed reality headset for a possible unveiling at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. As a result, the software department would prioritize the headset’s xrOS operating system. Apple is believed to have several hardware and software flaws to fix on this headset.
This reallocation of resources would also have cost iOS 17 some new features, according to Gurman. Called Dawn, this new operating system could now only offer a few major changes; iPadOS 17 and macOS 14 could also suffer the same fate.
