Akpom Up For Championship Player Of The Month Award

Chuba Akpom has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for December 2022.

Akpom scored four goals for Michael Carrick’s side during the month.

The highlight was his hat-trick against Wigan Athletic on Boxing Day.

The former Arsenal forward was also on target in the 2-1 win against Luton Town.

The 27-year-old will battle for Viktor Gyokeres’ side of Coventry City, Sunderland , Ahmad Diallo and Ross Stewart as well as Illman Ndiaye and James McActee.

Akpom has so far scored 13 goals in 19 league appearances for Boro this season.
