The Call of Duty maker, which is being acquired by Microsoft for $68.7 billion (roughly Rs. 5,21,100 crore), said it would raise the minimum hourly wage for those employees – from Activision Publishing and Blizzard divisions – at $20 (approximately Rs. 1,520) or more and also provides them with access to all the benefits of the company.

This change will increase the total number of full-time employees in the Activision Publishing division by 25%.

“This change follows a process that began last year at AP and Blizzard to convert temporary and casual employees, including 500 at AP Studios, into permanent full-time employees,” a spokesperson said. from Activision Blizzard.

The company has faced investigations detailing allegations of internal sexual harassment, and its employees have staged walkouts to protest its response to the issues. Last year in July, California regulators filed a lawsuit, alleging Activision “fosters a sexist culture.”
