‘Achieved everything they can here’: Brendan Rodgers sends direct threat to Leicester stars after FA Cup exit

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers was in no mood to mince words on the back of his side’s embarrassing FA Cup exit on Sunday evening.

The Foxes got the defence of their crown back underway a short time ago, making the trip to the City Ground for a meeting with Championship outfit Nottingham Forest.

When all was said and done in the East Midlands, however, the hopes of Rodgers and co. of retaining their title went up in smoke.

A dismal display across the 90 minutes ultimately culminated in Leicester being put to the sword by four goals to one, owing to strikes on the part of all of Philip Zinckernagel, Brennan Johnson, Joe Worrall and Djed Spence.

Speaking in his post-match press conference on Sunday evening, Brendan Rodgers was drawn on the disappointing nature of his side’s latest display.

And the Northern Irishman was not at all shy in making his frustrations clear, hinting that a number of members of his squad may already have ‘achieved everything they can’ with the club:

Leicester’s players, though, were not the only ones to have embarrassed themselves at the City Ground on Sunday.

This comes with a member of the club’s travelling fanbase having been responsible for a frankly disgraceful act, in making his way from the City Ground stands onto the pitch, to throw a series of punches at Nottingham Forest’s celebrating players:
