A senior Tottenham star was left stunned by a Nuno decision & the training drill that left some players ‘baffled’
Nuno sacked & Conte appointed
Nuno Espirito Santo would take charge of Tottenham during the summer, replacing fellow countryman, Jose Mourinho.
Nuno got off to a great start in north London, picking up a 1-0 win over Manchester City on the opening weekend of the Premier League season before winning another two on the bounce.
However, results since have been less than impressive, with Spurs winning just two of their last seven league ties and seriously struggling for goals.
This would lead to Nuno being officially relieved of his duties on Monday:

Antonio Conte has since been instated as the new Tottenham manager on Tuesday:

Tottenham star left stunned by Nuno decision
Following Nuno’s dismissal, some interesting behind-the-scenes details have emerged regarding his Spurs stint.
And the overall feeling seemed to be that Nuno was a fairly closed-off boss that shared very little and also made some strange decisions.
According to the Evening Standard, one player was left stunned when he found out he had been dropped from the squad by a teammate instead of his manager:

Elsewhere, some players are said to have been left baffled by a training drill done by Nuno:
His coaching did not convince all the players either. One drill in which the players were told to play out of position, with the forwards in defence and vice-versa, left some players baffled and others amused.
